Denver with his family found their place in the
Glenwood Hills Baptist Church in Decatur, Ga.
When there was a service to be rendered they were
always ready and willing to give their time and talent
to the work of the church.
When the church began its building program Denver
Crumpler was serving as Chairman of the Board of
Trustees up to the time of his death.
Denver set an example for all gospel singers. No matter
where the Quartet sang on Saturday night, if it was
humanly possible to get back to Atlanta in time for
services Sunday morning, he was at his place in the
church. During all this time there were very few Saturday
nights when Denver was able to get any sleep at all,
but this did not keep him from attending church. |

The life of Denver Crumpler, Gospel Singer and Christian man, will be remembered by all who knew
him and each will know that they are a little better for having known him. His example will stand
as a challenge to all of us, and the messages of Faith and Hope that he sang will live forever. |
